Dhela zone is the most recently added sixth eco-tourism zone at Corbett Park in November 2014.
This eco-tourism zone is operational throughout the year for tourists except at the time of monsoon.
Dhela Zone is spread over 1,173 hectares of area and is extremely enriched with a variety of flora and fauna with mixed forests and wildlife.
Dhela Zone consists of forest in which you can see varieties of trees as Sheesham, Dhak, Khair and Sisoo are the common ones.
This Zone has mixed forests of Sal, Rohini, Haldu, Bahera, Kusum, Mahua, Bakli, Jamun, Aamla, Kanju vegetation.
This zone is particularly rich in bird diversity and tourists can do the sightseeing of tigers, leopards, Sloth bears, and Asiatic elephants in their natural habitat.
If you are a bird lover then you spot Peacock, Jungle Fowl, White Bush Chat, Oriental Pied, Emerald Dove, Red Wattle Lapwing, the Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Rested Kingfisher, Indian Shirks, Indian Alpine Swift, Woodpecker, laughing Thrush, Vulture, Parakeet, common Great Hornbill, Duck, Storm, Parrot, Seagull and more unseen birds.
Day safari is allowed here after obtaining a permit which can be booked using the government’s official web portal of Corbett National Park.
The Jeep safari in the Dhela zone is done only with the use of registered vehicles and a mandatory guide. Dhela safari zone offers overall two trails allowing visitors to stroll around 3-4 Km in the wild.
Visitors can do Jeep Safari in Dhela in the morning and evening shifts. Only 15 gipsies are allowed to enter the zone during each of the two shifts.
Prior bookings are required to avail of the facility of Jeep safari in the Dhela zone.
Visitors are required to fill Online Jeep Safari Booking form along with their photo id proof (driving license/voter id/pan card) and complete details of the person (gender, full name, birth date etc).and then send the booking request for Jeep Safari in Dhela.
You are also required to carry the same ID card submitted during online booking.
Dhela eco-tourism zone is around 20 km away from the Ramnagar town and is located right beside the Jhirna Safari Zone of Corbett.
The entry gate for the Dhela zone is the name Dhela gate. The common starting point for Jungle safari here is Ramnagar Degree College.
The Dhela Jeep Safari Tariff includes the cost for all entries, road tax, Jeep, Driver, Permit, Guide fees and service charges.
The prices to avail of the Jeep Safari here at Dhela zone are provided as below:
Indian nationals: INR 4500/Jeep (Maximum 6 persons and a child below 5 years as complimentary)
Foreigner: INR 8000/Jeep (Maximum 6 persons and a child below 5 years as complimentary)
Dhela eco-tourism zone is open for day safaris throughout the year for day visit jeep safari, however subject to road and weather conditions of course.
The night stay facilities are also available from 16th November to 15th June.
The best time to visit here is October to Mid June.

Winter Jeep safari timings are: 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM | 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
