The entry Gate for this zone is Aamdanda Gate.
The FRHs available at Bijrani are listed as follows:-
1. Bijrani Forest Rest House: It has 4 double bedrooms 1 four bedroom & 2 dormitories available. All rooms are provided with all basic amenities.
2.Malani Forest Rest House: It has 2 double bed rooms available.
There are all basic amenities (electricity by Solar panels and water etc) available in these FRHs but if you are looking for a luxury break then you will be disappointed and it would be better if you book your stay outside of National Park in a luxury Resort.
Also, there is no good reception of any cellular networks inside the National Park and you will not be provided with any Wi-fi facility.
Please keep these things in mind while visiting the National Park(especially while having a night’s stay).
In the Bijrani Tourist Complex, there’s a very good restaurant (canteen) available for all the meals you will require.
There you can get buffet meals of quality foods. Inside the National Park, Non-veg food is not allowed so you will be served Vegetarian food only.
For the visitors, there’s also a small canteen available for their requirement of snacks and food.
On the Malani FRH’s premises, there’s not any restaurant availability but there you will get a cook with all the utensils, stove and gas available in a kitchen.
You have to provide raw material to the cook and he will prepare you the meals whatever you ask for.
Note:- You will only get vegetarian food inside the National Park because Non-Veg food is not allowed inside the Park.
When it comes to flora the Sal forest, Bali flower, Kusum flower, and Mahua trees are the main attractions of the Bijrani Zone.
This zone has several types of Deer (Spotted Deer, Para, The Sambar, Barking deer) Jackal, Monitor Lizard, Wild boar Monkeys, Langoors, peacocks, and Wild Hen.
It has a diverse population of Royal Bengal tiger and Asian elephants which makes this zone the best zone to spot tigers & elephants.
This zone is also known to bird lovers as this zone has a variety of birds.
You can also see sloth bears in this zone of the forest. Bijrani terrain is drier than Dhikala and has diverse vegetation.
You can go for the Bijrani zone via Aamdanda gate which is located 1km from Ramnagar, Uttrakhand. The entry timing to Bijrani Zone from Aamnanda gate starts at 10:00 AM and stops at 4:00 PM.
In the winter season (October-February)
You will spot a variety of beautiful and unseen birds. For Bird lovers, this is the dream time of the year as you can see many unseen birds.
In the monsoon season (July-September)
You should not visit the National park during this period of the year cause weather will not be favourable and there will be road blockages due to rain which will make it impossible to make it through dense Forest.
And FRHs and Day visits both will be closed during this period.
In Summer Season (March-June)
This time of year which includes March to mid of June is called the summer season in our country. In the summer season, the temperature gets very high as in day time, the temperature may go up to 40 degrees c.
So if you can enjoy your stay in the jungle without air conditioning, a cooler and all the luxurious items then this is also a beautiful season to visit and spot tigers.
Open and Close Timing of Bijrani:- Bijrani is open for Night Stay and Jeep Safaris(for Day visit) for a period of 15th November to 15th June. Besides this period it remains Close.
