Jim Corbett national park is located in the Nainital district, Ramnagar in the Himalayan state of India Uttarakhand. It falls partly along a valley between the Lesser Himalaya in the north and the Shivaliks in the south have a sub-Himalayan belt structure.

Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger, Jim Corbett national park is Asia’s most visited park. Forest covers almost 73% of the park, 10% of the area consists of grasslands and is home to a lot of wild animals and plants.

Because of its location, its temperature is pleasant as compared to the other protected areas of India. One can experience the beauty of this park by seeing the diversity of flora and fauna.

Jim Corbett National Park comprises an area of 1,318.54 square kilometers including 520 square kilometers of core area and 797.72 square kilometers of buffer area.
